This dog collar is adjustable and available in the following standard sizes:

XS
Width: 1.5cm (5/8")
Neck: 19cm – 24cm (7.5" – 9.5")

S
Width: 2cm (3/4")
Neck: 24cm – 34cm (9.5" – 13.5")

M
Width: 2cm (3/4")
Neck: 34cm – 41cm (13.5" – 16.5")

L
Width: 2.5cm (1")
Neck: 39cm – 54cm (15.5" – 21.5")

If your dog falls between sizes or you’d prefer a more precise fit, custom sizing may be available.

For the best fit, measure your dog’s neck where the collar will naturally sit using a soft tape measure.

Once fitted, you should be able to comfortably fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck.

If your dog falls towards the upper end of a size or you're unsure which option will be best, feel free to get in touch before ordering. I’m always happy to help advise on sizing.

Because Urban Tails collars are handmade in small batches, custom sizing may also be possible if your dog needs something slightly different.

Because each collar is cut and sewn individually, pattern placement may vary slightly.

Plastic clasp breaking load (manufacturer guidance):

• XS buckle: approx. 20kg
• Small & Medium buckles: approx. 55kg
• Large buckle: approx. 95kg

As a general guideline, many dog equipment manufacturers recommend choosing a buckle with a breaking load at least three times your dog’s weight.

For example:

• A 10kg dog would typically suit a buckle rated around 30kg or more
• A 20kg dog would typically suit a buckle rated around 60kg or more

These figures refer to the buckle strength only and are provided as a guide. As with all pet accessories, collars should be checked regularly for signs of wear.

Will the collar hold its shape?
Yes. The fabric is interfaced to help it maintain structure while remaining comfortable for everyday wear.

Is this collar suitable for everyday walks?
Yes. Each collar is built around a strong webbing core designed for regular use.

Can I get matching accessories?
Yes. The Bee Hive fabric is also available as a lead, bandana, bow and poo bag holder.

If your dog sits between sizes, we recommend getting in touch before ordering so we can help you choose the best fit.

How long will my order take to arrive?
Ready-to-ship items usually dispatch within 2 working days. Made-to-order items may take a couple of weeks while they are carefully handmade.
