The Woodland Fabric Dog Lead captures the layered colours of falling leaves in a vibrant cotton print. Shades of plum, berry, gold and green sit beautifully against a wide range of dog coat colours, making it an easy choice whether your dog is light, dark or somewhere in between.

Each lead is handmade in the UK in small batches, carefully constructed for everyday walks and designed to feel comfortable in hand, even on longer outings.

This design is part of the limited Enchanted collection and is produced in small quantities. Once the fabric is gone, it will not be restocked.

Matching dog collar, bandana, bow and poo bag holder are also available in the Woodland fabric if you enjoy a coordinated walking set.

Lead Length & Walking Style

Urban Tails leads are designed to offer a comfortable balance between control and freedom while walking.

Our standard lead length is approximately 120cm, which works well for most everyday walks. It keeps your dog close enough for good control while still allowing them space to move naturally.

Toy Lead (2cm width)
A lighter lead suited to smaller dogs or puppies.

Standard Lead (2.5cm width)
A stronger lead designed for medium and larger dogs.

Because each lead is handmade in small batches, alternative lengths can sometimes be made depending on fabric availability. Many fabrics can be made into leads up to approximately 2 metres in length, which some owners prefer for more relaxed countryside walks.

• Strong polypropylene webbing core for durability and control
• Cotton fabric outer for comfort and style
• Fabric interfacing added to help maintain structure without bulky padding
• Heavy-duty metal swivel clasp for secure collar attachment
• Reinforced box stitching at both the clasp and handle for added strength
• Handmade in the UK

Because each lead is cut and sewn individually, pattern placement may vary slightly, meaning every piece is unique.

Clasp strength (manufacturer guidance):

• Sprung trigger clasp
• Approximate breaking load: 200kg

These figures refer to the clasp strength only and are provided as guidance. As with all dog accessories, leads should be checked regularly for signs of wear.

Care Instructions

• Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C in a delicates bag
• Air dry only - do not tumble dry
• Avoid bleach or direct heat
• Check fabric, stitching and hardware regularly for wear

Is this lead suitable for everyday walks?
Yes. Each lead is built around a strong webbing core with reinforced stitching for everyday durability.

Will the lead twist while walking?
No. The metal clasp includes a swivel mechanism so the lead can rotate naturally as your dog moves.

Can I attach accessories to the lead?
Yes. The welded D-ring at the handle allows you to attach items such as poo bag holders or treat pouches.

Do you offer stronger clips for larger dogs?
Yes. A heavy-duty clasp upgrade may be available for larger dogs or strong pullers. Please contact Urban Tails before ordering.

Can I get matching accessories?
