The Clueless Tartan Fabric Dog Collar brings the iconic yellow plaid into your dog’s everyday wardrobe. Yellow, black and red come together in a bold tartan design that stands out without feeling over the top, perfect for dogs with a personality.

Made from poly-viscose fabric, this collar is slightly more hard wearing than standard cotton while still sitting comfortably against your dog’s neck.

Each collar is handmade in the UK in small batches, combining a durable webbing core with carefully interfaced fabric for comfort and everyday reliability.

This dog collar is adjustable and available in the following standard sizes:

Width: 1.5cm (5/8")
Neck: 19cm – 24cm (7.5" – 9.5")

S
Width: 2cm (3/4")
Neck: 24cm – 34cm (9.5" – 13.5")

M
Width: 2cm (3/4")
Neck: 34cm – 41cm (13.5" – 16.5")

L
Width: 2.5cm (1")
Neck: 39cm – 54cm (15.5" – 21.5")

If your dog falls between sizes or you'd prefer a more precise fit, custom sizing may be available. Please contact Urban Tails before ordering.

Fit & Measuring Advice

For the best fit, measure your dog’s neck where the collar will naturally sit using a soft tape measure.

Once fitted, you should be able to comfortably fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck.

If your dog falls towards the upper end of a size or you're unsure which option will be best, feel free to get in touch before ordering. I’m always happy to help advise on sizing.

Because Urban Tails collars are handmade in small batches, custom sizing may also be possible if your dog needs something slightly different.

Customisation

Urban Tails collars can be customised to better suit your dog’s size and needs.

Options include:

• Collar width adjustments
• Alternative adjuster styles
• Heavy-duty clasp upgrades for large or strong dogs (recommended for dogs over 40kg)

Because each collar is cut and sewn individually, pattern placement may vary slightly, meaning every piece is unique.

Plastic clasp breaking load (manufacturer guidance):

• XS buckle: approx. 20kg
• Small & Medium buckles: approx. 55kg
• Large buckle: approx. 95kg

As a general guideline, many dog equipment manufacturers recommend choosing a buckle with a breaking load at least three times your dog’s weight.

These figures refer to the buckle strength only and are provided as a guide. As with all pet accessories, collars should be checked regularly for signs of wear.

Care Instructions

• Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C in a delicates bag
• Air dry only - do not tumble dry
• Avoid bleach or direct heat
• Check fabric, stitching and hardware regularly for wear
• Ensure the collar is fully dry before storing
