The Citrine Jewel collar brings warm golden velvet into the Heritage Collection, adding a softer finish and a more elevated feel while still being made for real dogs and real walks.

Handmade in the UK in small batches, each collar has a strong webbing core and finished with reinforced stitching and premium metal hardware. The metal side-release buckle offers exceptional strength, and many owners may find the hardware reaches the end of its life before the collar itself does.

Fit & Measuring Advice

For the best fit, measure your dog’s neck where the collar will naturally sit using a soft tape measure.

Once fitted, you should be able to comfortably fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck.

If your dog falls towards the upper end of a size or you're unsure which option will be best, feel free to get in touch before ordering. I’m always happy to help advise on sizing.

Because Urban Tails collars are handmade in small batches, custom sizing may also be possible if your dog needs something slightly different.

Care Instructions

Hand wash only.

Velvet benefits from a little extra care to help it keep its appearance over time. While I’ve been known to put one through the washing machine myself, hand washing and air drying is recommended.

Do not tumble dry.

As with all collars, inspect regularly for signs of wear and tear.

Is the metal buckle stronger than your standard collars?
Yes. The premium metal side-release buckle has a higher breaking load than our standard hardware and is designed for long-term everyday use.

Is velvet suitable for everyday walks?
Yes. While velvet has a softer finish, the collar itself is built around a strong webbing core and designed for regular wear.

Will the velvet look exactly the same on every collar?
Because each collar is handmade, slight variations can occur and fabric placement may vary.
