Handmade in the UK, the Amethyst Jewel Velvet Dog Lead brings rich purple velvet to the Heritage Collection and is designed for everyday walks.

The Amethyst Jewel lead adds a softer finish and a more elevated feel while still being made for real dogs and real adventures. The purple velvet brings depth and colour while still feeling easy to wear day to day.

Handmade in the UK in small batches, each lead is built around a strong internal webbing core and finished with reinforced stitching and metal hardware designed for regular use.

Lead Length & Walking Style

Urban Tails leads are designed to offer a comfortable balance between freedom and control.

Our standard lead length is approximately 120cm, a length that works well for most everyday walks. It keeps your dog close enough for guidance while still giving them space to move naturally.

Toy Lead (2cm width)
A lighter lead suited to smaller dogs and puppies.

Standard Lead (2.5cm width)
A stronger lead suited to medium and larger dogs.

Because each lead is handmade, alternative lengths can sometimes be made depending on fabric availability. Many fabrics can be made up to approximately 2 metres, which some owners prefer for more relaxed countryside walks.

Care Instructions

Hand wash only.

Velvet benefits from a little extra care to help it keep its appearance over time. While I’ve been known to put one through the washing machine myself, hand washing and air drying is recommended.

Do not tumble dry.

Inspect regularly for signs of wear and tear and discontinue use if damage is present.
